School Effectiveness Indices (SEIs)

A School Effectiveness Index is a fair, value-added measure of how well a school performed. It is fair because it makes allowances for known factors over which teachers and school administrators have no control, such as socio-economic status, language proficiency, gender, ethnicity, and previous achievement level.
