Who may request schoolwide access to student data at a campus?
-
If you are campus-based and do not have students of record
(for example, if you are a special education teacher) or if you have a long-term, educational need to access data for
all students at your campus (for example, if you are the mathematics coach), you can request a schoolwide account with
the authorization of your principal. You will use the
special access request form
.
Answer all the questions on the form before submitting it to
OIR, and be sure the person authorizing the account is listed
on the form and that the person includes his or her title.

How do I request an account with access to all student data in a feeder pattern or the district?
-
These accounts must have the authorization of your executive director or assistant superintendent. If your supervisor is not an executive director,
then her authorization is not sufficient to obtain an account with this level of access.
This requirement keeps us in compliance with local policies as well as state and federal laws. Submit the
special access request form
.

What if I need access to just a few schools?
-
There are several ways to accomplish this; choose the one that is most convenient for you.
- List all the schools' TEA numbers on a special access request form
and have the request authorized by your executive director.
- List all the schools' TEA numbers on a special access request form
and have the request authorized by each principal (all principals must sign the form).
- Complete one special access request form
for each campus and have each request authorized by the school's principal. In this case, you must include a note
with your submission indicating that your request for access is in addition to, not in place of,
any other campus access you have requested.
