Getting Non-Teacher Accounts

Non-teacher accounts on MyData Portal are available for campus administrators and counselors to gain access to secured information on students at their campuses. Other district employees with a legitimate and ongoing educational purpose for accessing confidential student data may also request MyData Portal accounts.

Requesting a Non-Teacher Account

To request a non-teacher account, you must complete all fields on the MyData Portal account request form, obtain all required signatures, and follow the submission instructions on the form.

By signing the form, requesters automatically sign a security oath regarding MyData Portal accounts and their use. A message sent to your district e‑mail address will notify you that your account has been activated.

Sporadic Data Needs

If you only need student data a few times a year, you should make a direct request of the Office of Institutional Research. Although this need for data is legitimate, it does not qualify as ongoing; therefore, a user's account is unwarranted. You may contact the OIR at OIR@dallasisd.org.

The OIR periodically deletes accounts that have not been used for the previous 60 days. If you will not use your account to retrieve data more frequently than this, you should make your data requests directly to the OIR.
