Activating Teacher Accounts
It is unnecessary for teachers to formally request a MyData Portal account. The Office of Institutional Research (OIR) generates a teacher's account automatically for any teacher of record. For teachers transferred between campuses or those new to the district, accounts are also automatically generated after the Human Resources Services database is updated.
Activating the Account
When a teacher account is created, it is not immediately active. To activate your account, you must submit a completed security oath to your campus account manager. Signing the security oath affirms that you will protect both your account password and the confidentiality of the information you retrieve.
E-mail Notification
A message sent to your district e‑mail address will notify you that your account has been activated. In addition, the OIR may e‑mail other alerts when test results or other information is released online. No communication will be sent to an e‑mail address that is not in the DISD domain (i.e., ending in @dallasisd.org).
Security Oath
Because the secured portion of MyData Portal provides access to confidential student information, each account holder must have a signed security oath on file as required by law. By signing the oath, you are affirming that you will protect both your account password and the confidentiality of the data you retrieve from MyData Portal. (Select "Security oath" at the left for more information.)
